How to merge PDFs without uploading them

If the files are sensitive, the easiest rule is also the safest one: keep them on your device. A local merge workflow lets you combine PDFs, check the page order, and download one final file without sending the source documents to a server.

When this workflow makes sense

  • You are merging contracts, invoices, receipts, or internal reports.
  • Your organization does not want documents uploaded to a third-party PDF site.
  • You want one final PDF without creating an account or waiting for an upload.

How to do it

  1. Open Merge and add the PDFs you want in the final packet.
  2. Reorder pages until the output reads the way you want.
  3. Download the merged file and open it once more before you send it.

What to check before sharing

  • Make sure the page order is correct from beginning to end.
  • Confirm you did not leave in a page you meant to remove.
  • If the file is leaving your organization, consider running Sanitize on the merged output next.
